Previous Meetings

In spring 2014, the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) held three open houses to provide the public information on the 2010 Corridor Preservation Study in order to define the Preferred Alternative going forward for the 2014 Southern Maryland Rapid Transit Study (SMRT). MTA is currently accepting public comments, which will assist in defining the need for, purpose of and scope of a high-capacity rapid transit improvement along the MD 5/US 301 corridor from the Branch Avenue Metrorail station to the Waldorf-White Plains area.

Meetings were held from 4PM to 8PM at

  • June 10 at Surrattsville High School in Clinton
  • June 18 at the Waldorf Jaycees in Waldorf
  • June 19 at Thurgood Marshall Middle School in Temple Hills
